![]() Plug-ins are usually CPU intensive as opposed to RAM intensive but some plug-ins, namely instruments, may easily fill up the RAM if you're running something using samples. It also depends on the types of plug-ins. For example, if a person only has 4GB total in their system then that's actually more like 2GB usable by Logic since modern 64bit OSes will require at least half of the 4GB for itself. How it affects Logic will depend on many variables. This is not the case with 32bit versions of the OSes though, which can only access 4GB period and will use some of it for itself regardless of the limitations of the app. This will make things more efficient still because that unused RAM can still be used to carry the load of the OS and other apps outside of the 32bit app. However, 64bit versions of either OS will be able to access more than the 4GB that the 32bit app is limited to, for other things.
